On 28 August 2021, Matt Pappadia revealed on his TikTok that he kept a secret for a year that he was starring in season 3 of The Circle. This marked his debut as a reality star. He was joined by fellow contestants: Nick Uhlenhuth, Calvin Kiing Crooks, Chanel & Ava Marie Capra, Kai Ghost, Daniel Cusimano, Ruksana Carroll, and Michelle Rider.

Season 3 was hosted by Michelle Buteau, a comic actress.
