In July 2021, Amazon Studios announced a new docuseries, an unscripted reality series, Tampa Baes, that follows a group of lesbian friends in Tampa Bay, Florida. One of the cast members announced, and the subject of this article is Marissa Gialousis.

Tampa Bay was always the hub of the LGBTQ+ community, and it was always a desirable destination for reality shows. Now, Amazon Studios have found a way to combine the two and make a success out of the growing popularity of diverse sexuality and gender fluidity. So far, 13 cast members of Tampa Baes have been announced and they are Ali Myers, Nelly Ramirez, Shiva Pishdad, Jordan Whitley, Marissa Gialousis, Summer Mitchell, Cuppie Bragg, Brianna Murphy, Haley Grable, Melanie Posner, Olivia Mullins, and Mack McKenzie.
