A 27-year old rapper as of February 2020, was born to Memphis, Tennessee’s local star music producer Duke Nitty. Real name Patavious Isom, Duke borrowed his stage name from his father.

Duke Nitty was given production credits in the work of Nasty Nardo, Gangsta Blac, Dem Thugs, and Mobb Lyfe.

The Crunk Ain’t Dead rapper spent most of his childhood in the studio with his father. Nights he woke up and fell asleep to his father producing songs was hard to jot down for the rapper.

He grew up listening to the music of Three 6 Mafia, MJG, and 8Ball which pretty much molded his sound. Duke Nitty, his father, used to put him in front of the keyboard and mic where he practiced music as a kid.

By the age of 6, he was already producing beats.

In 2018, Duke released Whole Lotta, a viral hit record with M-Town aesthetics in it. Following the release, he added Style Dance that went along with the song.

Waves were created when people started following the trend and started dancing to the song. Duke’s viral success reached a new height when the dance was performed by Atlanta-based dance crew SheLovesMeechie.

The dance of SheLovesMeechie caught the attention of Offset, one-third of Migos, an Atlanta-based hip hop trio. One thing led to another and long story short, he got signed to Quality Control Music — a record label where Migos is signed to.

Following sealing the record deal with Quality Control Music, Duke Deuce released his debut project titled Memphis Massacre on 7 September 2018 in collaboration with Project Pat.

The fifteen-track album featured artists like Offset and Project Pat.

In February 2020, Duke released his highly anticipated second mixtape titled Memphis Massacre 2. The twelve-track project guest featured several acts like Lil Jon, Lil Yachty, Project Pat, Juicy J, and Lil Thad.

Unlike his first mixtape, this one was filled with a diverse sound and a variety of styles that clocked in just about 40 minutes.

Duke’s first two mixtapes created quite an anticipation for his debut album as a signed artist that is yet to be released.
