YouTuber Daymon Scott Patterson, best known by Daym Drops, is appearing as the host of Netflix’s new food and travel series Fresh, Fried & Crispy.

His Age, Birthday

Born with the personality trait of a supposedly creative, enthusiastic, and lively Libra, Daym Drops celebrates his birthday on the 24th of September. Also, he reached the age of 43 in 2020.

Daym Drops Hometown, Family

Born in Bridgeport, a historic seaport city in the U.S. state of Connecticut, he was raised in Stratford in Connecticut.

He is the only child of his parents. However, he has three half-siblings on his father’s side.

Daymon’s mom, Valerie Patterson is a Financial Clearance Analyst at Yale-New Haven Hospital. And he calls his auntie Lisa his “second mom.”

Daym Drops is almost as tall as Randy Santel who stands 6’5” tall in height.

He used to weigh 400 pounds at one point. Concerned that “health is more important” even his mother persuaded him to review healthier foods in his videos sometime in 2015.

The same year, Daym Drops documented his weight loss journey with Weight Watchers. Then in Mar. 2019, he had accepted a 5-Day Plant-Based Diet challenge.

However, though he is also content the way he is. In fact, in a May 2, 2020 video, he revealed the real reason why he is “fat and happy.”

Now, in 2021, for the new venture of Fresh, Fried & Crispy Daym will be traveling to Cleveland, San Diego, Savannah, Georgia, and more seeking quality eatery that makes him have a moment with his food. He believes every bite he has to be an experience.

In a trailer for the series that was dropped exclusively with PEOPLE, he says,

“I’ll go just about anywhere to get some good food. I’m only here for one reason, and one reason only: that is to devour.”

His Struggles With Diabetes

Daym Drops has been living with type 2 diabetes since 2010 and about this, he opened up in a YouTube video in 2018 after a friend of his died of the same ailment. During that time, Daymon also revealed his doctor has been mad at him for not keeping up with his blood sugar level. And that his fast-food reviewing was adding to the problem.

Daym Drops Net Worth

Daym Drops, who appeared in the fast-food commercials for Popeyes and Burger King, had pulled in below $2 million net worth (before May 2021).

He is a food critic, YouTube celebrity, and television presenter. He started his new job as Marketing Director at Impossible Kicks in March 2021.

Late in 2020, the YouTube food titan published his first official comic book Daym Drops SUPER OFFICIAL.

The former food correspondent at Rachael Ray Talk Show notably hosted the food-review-oriented TV program Best Daym Takeout on the Travel Channel in 2013.

Famous since 2009, Daymon even created his own restaurant, Mofongo, based in Windsor, Connecticut. He also runs an online merch store where he sells special hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and more.

Seemingly romantic, Daymon did not shy away from publicly talking about his feeling for his wife whom he calls ‘Myr’. On her birthday every year (on Oct. 28th), he would wish her on social media writing the likes of,

“This is YOUR day love, as is every October 28th and I consider myself quite the fortunate man that has been blessed with waking up to you, each morning.”

Daymon and his wife have two daughters, Daij (b. 1997), and K Drops (b. July 2012). As parents, they always wondered what their children will grow to become. They would often think back to the roles they played in their kids’ lives questioning, “Did we do EVERYTHING possible to help guide them in the right direction?”

Then, Daymon says, he would get his answers from the fact that his girls will never know what it is to have an absent father.

Daymon, who before fame worked as a manager at retail stores, insists he will there for whatever his girls may need to help shape their tomorrow. Then again, he is already proud that both his daughters have taken on their own challenges in life.
