David Bromstad began his career as a design student at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. He then almost immediately joined HGTV in 2006 and has been working with the channel ever since. But it wasn’t until 2012 when he won the Design Star, David rose to the limelight. After that, he started working as the host to multiple HGTV hits.

David Bromstad first met his partner (now ex) named Jeffrey Glasko, back on Valentine’s day, 2004. According to him, their relationship began after he and Jeffrey met at a “Single’s Party” which was held at a club in Firestone, Florida. Also, he added that they stumbled upon each other several times before, but never get a chance to talk.

After secretly dating Jeffrey for over 8 years, David then finally revealed the world about his sexuality. In an interview with South Florida Gay News, David confessed that he was gay, and shared Jeffrey Glasko to be his partner.

Unfortunately, the two broke up in 2015, after Jeffrey accused David of infidelity and the split was even dragged to court. In December 2015, Jeffrey filed a lawsuit against David for breach of an “oral nuptial-like cohabitation contract and partition of the condo” they shared. He alleged that David used shared funds to pay for ”illicit drugs and prostitutes resulting in a loss of trust and confidence.”

The judge’s end verdict was in favor of David and stated that “these salacious claims were made by a desperate person.”
