British TV chef, author, and television presenter Nadiya Hussain is a household name especially amongst those who love watching culinary shows.

We had to live through the good and the bad, and have come out the other side. Love is strange… It creeps up on you and then smacks you in the face. I didn’t know my husband, and then we had two children, and then I fell in love with him.”
Circa 2004, the Nadiya and Abdal married over an Islamic wedding ceremony arranged by their parents. Fourteen years later in Dec. 2018, they exchanged the vows again, simply because Nadiya always felt like they had never done the proper vows in England.
Nadiya admitted that her original wedding day was one of the worst days of her life and that she cried all day. She was nineteen then, and her marriage with Abdal was arranged after meeting him just once before. And in line with those not-so-good experiences, she says, she is strictly against the idea of her kids having arranged marriage someday.
However tough the journey may have been, today they are more in love than ever.
They have three kids: sons Musa, 14, Dawud, 13, and daughter, Maryam, 10 (ages as of Dec. 2021). Also, at the time, they were thinking about expanding their family by adopting a fourth child. Talking to the ‘Netmums Sweat, Snot & Tears’ podcast, Nadiya had explained about becoming parents again, once they are emotionally in the right place.
